Supports a 22-bed unit specially designed and elegantly appointed setting for patients with complex eating disorders. A team of Board Certified Psychiatrists coordinate a multi-disciplinary team of experienced professionals including nurses, licensed clinical social workers, registered dieticians, expressive arts therapists and psychologists. Medical problems are closely monitored by a panel of carefully selected consulting specialists.

Named in memory of Michael Smith, provides general support to patients, patient families and staff on the Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry Unit at the Towson, MD, campus.  Special emphasis is placed on providing financial assistance to families so that they can better care for their children while in Sheppard Pratt’s care, including help with child care and transportation costs to promote family visits and family unity.
